With reference to the previous article devoted to the verification of steel press-flexed elements, a practical example of the calculation of a press-flexed column belonging to an industrial-type tower structure is presented below.

The column is planned to be of box type (box section) and the calculation is performed with the automatic software "CARGEO-plus" with reference to EN 1993-1-1 and, as far as the calculation under seismic conditions is concerned, to EN 1998-1 and NTC 2008. Verification of resistance under fire conditions is also performed for a REI 45 class according to EN 1993-1-2.
